# Logs in Developer Portal

**Event Notifications → Logs** ("Notification Events Logs") is where you search individual delivery attempts — every message Event Notifications has recorded, with its payload, destination, and status. For the full query language reference (fields, operators, example queries), see [Querying Delivery Logs][querying-logs] — that's covered in its own guide and isn't repeated here.

## Filtering

Above the results table, you can narrow things down with:

- **Destinations** and **Event Types** — multi-select dropdowns.
- **Status** — `success`, `failure`, or `pending`.
- **Payload** — filter by a specific payload field (e.g. `order_nr`). Click it to pick a field, then pick the event type it belongs to, then check the specific values you want — since which payload fields exist depends on the event type.
- **Created at** — a date range.

Picking filters writes the equivalent query into the query editor below for you automatically. If you edit that query text directly instead, it stops following the filters — editing the text and using the filter dropdowns don't mix for the same search.

## The query editor

For anything the filters above can't express, write a query directly:

The editor has line numbers and syntax highlighting, and suggests fields and values as you type — press **Tab** or **Enter** to insert the highlighted suggestion, **↑/↓** to move between suggestions, **Esc** to dismiss them. Click **Help Guide** for a quick reference, or **Run Query** to search. For the full field and operator reference, see [Querying Delivery Logs][querying-logs].

If a query doesn't parse, an error banner appears under the editor with the problem and, when available, the line and column it occurred at. **Show raw error** expands the full error text; the **✕** dismisses the banner.

## Reading the results

**Messages Logs** lists every message matching your filters or query. Click a row to expand it and see:

- The full **payload**, pretty-printed.
- If the message had more than one delivery attempt (e.g. after a failure and retry), a table of each **attempt**.

Use **Previous** / **Next** below the table to page through results; the current page number is shown between them.
