Manage product groups and identify grouping attributes
You can now group your products on noon through the Content API: create a group, read it back, change which products and attributes it holds, and delete it. A new field on category attributes tells you which attributes a group can vary by.
Product groups
| Endpoint | Summary |
|---|---|
POST /content/v1/product/group/upsert | UpsertProductGroup — creates a product group, or updates one you already have. |
POST /content/v1/product/group/get | GetProductGroup — returns a group's attributes and its products, a page at a time. |
POST /content/v1/product/group/delete | DeleteProductGroup — deletes a group. The products themselves are not deleted, only ungrouped. |
A group is identified by your own partner_group_ref. To create one, send at least one of category or brand, plus at least one entry in both attribute_codes and sku_parents. Neither category nor brand can be changed afterwards.
On update, attribute_codes and sku_parents are full lists: what you send replaces the current list, and anything you leave out is removed from the group. To add one entry, send the current list with the new entry added. Leave a list out, or send it empty, to keep it as it is. A product can belong to only one of your groups at a time.
GetProductGroup looks a group up by partner_group_ref or by the sku_parent of any product in it. Large groups are paged: pass the next_token from your previous response to read the next page.
Grouping attributes
ListCategoryAttributes now returns is_grouping on each attribute. Only attributes with is_grouping set to true can be used in a group's attribute_codes.
Full request and response shapes are in the Content section of the API reference.
